We offer a wide array of classes ranging from very basic mathematics and science skill classes to second year engineering, organic chemistry and microbiology. Our division works very closely with Health Occupations to deliver important academic foundation classes for our health career programs.
Many of the courses offered in this division are required for an Associate of Arts degree and for admission to most universities, and all courses offered in this division can be transferred to four-year institutions. An expert in the field who has met the rigorous standards set by the Chancellor’s Office teaches every course offering. All of our courses are regularly updated to reflect the ongoing advancements in science and mathematics.
Many of the courses offered by the Science, Mathematics & Engineering Division may be applied to an Associate in Science Degree (AS) in Natural Science. This degree is intended primarily for science majors. An AS degree in Pre-Health Science is also offered.
