Program Highlights
NVC’s History program offers a core based on United States and World history, while electives are available in the history of American women, African Americans, Modern Latin America, Mexico, California, the Middle East, and the Napa community. All classes require students to become familiar with historical developments, critically assess primary source evidence, and research and use sources to effectively argue a historical thesis. The AA-T in History degree prepares students to transfer to baccalaureate History programs in the CSU system. Individual class credits may be applied toward general education requirements for transfer to a four-year institution.
